- Right to portability — you may request that the data we hold about you be transferred to another organisation.
- Right to object — you may object to certain types of processing, such as direct marketing.
- Right to object to automated processing, including profiling — you may prohibit decision-making by a computer regarding your data (this does not include general advertising based on age or gender).
- Right to judicial review — if we refuse a request under access rights, you will be given the reason, and you have the right to complain.

Complaints about our conduct
You have the right to complain if you feel that BOROS Solutions, LDA is not fulfilling its responsibilities with regard to your data. You can contact our Data Protection Officer at info@boros-engineering.com. We will send you a confirmation no later than 5 days after receipt and will do our best to resolve the situation within a maximum of 1 month; complex issues may take longer, with frequent status updates. You also have the right to complain to the responsible supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados — but since privacy is a very serious matter for us, we ask that you speak with us first.
You can complain about: the way your personal data is processed; the way your request for access to data was handled; the way your complaint was handled; and you may challenge any decision taken after making a claim.
Our rules on data collection
We only ask for information that is really necessary to provide you with a great service. Whenever we collect customer data, we make sure that:
- we have your authorisation to collect the data;
- we only use the data for the agreed purpose and for as long as necessary;
- at a minimum, we comply with local data-protection legislation in the country where we provide you with a service through our website or apps;
- we only store data that we are required to keep by law;
- we clarify why we need the data and how we will use it (unless we have a legitimate reason not to);
- confidential information is regularly checked and updated; we may compare data with other databases to ensure it is correct;
- your data is not shared with anyone unless we have a legal or legitimate reason to do so, or we have your consent — or, if you are under 16, your parent's consent.
We don't receive information from third parties when you visit our page on social-media sites or channels.
Third-party links, social features and widgets
Our websites and applications may include links to other websites that are not maintained or controlled by us, such as social-media platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites; if you have questions regarding them, contact the site in question directly and read their privacy policies carefully. Some of our pages may include social-network links, share buttons and interactive mini-programs. If you click on any of these, the features may collect your IP address, record which page you were using and use cookies to function correctly. When you use these features, the processing of your personal data is carried out by that third party under its own privacy policy.
How long personal information is stored
Your personal information is stored as long as your account is active or as long as it is needed to provide you with a service. We maintain retention policies for each category of personal-information processing. If you cancel your account or ask us to delete your data, we keep only the information that is essential for legal reasons, to resolve disputes or to enforce our agreements.
Cookies
Like most websites, our online channels collect certain technical information (IP addresses, browsers, internet service providers, referring and exit pages, operating systems, timestamps and clickstream data). This information is not associated with other information we collect about you unless you have given us permission. For details, including how to prevent or delete cookies, see our Cookie Policy.
